FC Boys And Girls Golf Started Off Their Season Last Week

April 19, 2023
The FC boys and girls golf officially started off their golf season in Caledonia last Friday the 14th. Thanks to a lot of practice indoors—and not much practice outdoors—both the boys and girls ended up winning against Caledonia. The girls ended up golfing a 190 all together, which, quoted by coach Mesnink, is “the best the girls have golfed in Caledonia in many years.” Courtney Hersheberger was the leading scorer with a 46, Lily Miller and Myleigh Scheevel followed Courtney with a 47, and Chloe Morem folllowed with a 50.
The boys are starting off their season the best they have golfed in many years, and this looking like a great season for the boys. The FC boys golfed a 166 against Caledonia, and coach Todd cannot remember the last time they golfed that good as a team, nor against Caledonia. The boys leading scorer was Jake Fishbaugher with a 34, Luke Helickson followed him with a 42, Brodey Srsen, Aiden Arnold, and Anthony Kiehne all followed with 45s.
The boys and girls both had an invitational at The Oaks Golf Course in Hayfield competing against several teams. Jake Fishbaugher placed 3rd with golfing a 75. The girls placed 3rd as a team, tying with Austin. Lily Miller was the lead scorer and she placed 8th as an individual, golfing a 94. Aubrey Larson, golfing a 97, placed 10th.
