Jake Fishbaugher is a current senior at Fillmore Central High School. Jake has been involved in many sports and activities through his high school career, with golf being his most successful. Jake has been in golf ever since he was in 7th grade, which is  when he first realized he might have a big future ahead of him with this sport. Jake was the leading golfer at Fillmore Central ever since 2019 when he was an 8th grader. He was one of the top golfers at the section tournament, which lead him to qualifying for the state tournament in 2018. Jake has been to the state tournament every year since 2018, besides for in 2020 when the golf season was cut short. In 2022, Jake placed 8th at state, which is a huge accomplishment. Besides FC golf, Jake has won or placed very high in many other tournaments outside of the high school sport.

Jake is always trying to better his golf game no matter the season. Jake golfs until the ground is covered in snow, and then he takes his game to his garage where he practices on his golf simulator. If he has one bad meet, he will either be on the course for hours trying to fix what went wrong, or he is hitting 200 golf balls in his garage to make his swing “perfect.” Jake has many plans for his future and he is planning to continue playing golf for as long as he can.

Jake committed to Florida Gulf Coast University to continue he golf career. He plans on playing golf all four years and getting his degree in golf management.
