Looking ahead to (hopefully) sunny days and warm temperatures, here is a sports preview of the games that lie ahead within the week.

To start off, the varsity baseball team has a home game versus Saint Charles on Thursday, April 27th at 5:00 p.m. at the field by the elementary school in Preston. If one is feeling up for a little roadtrip on Tuesday, May 2nd, the boys baseball team will be playing at the PEM-Eckstein Field in Plainview. Like usual, this match will also start at 5:00 p.m.

Our softball girls have their next game on Thursday, April 27th starting at 4:30 p.m. versus Saint Charles at the St. Charles City Park. A little closer, the varsity team will have a home game at the field at the Preston City Park starting at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2nd—also against Plainview-Elgin-Millville.

Also this Thursday, both the boys and girls golf teams have a meet starting at 4:30 p.m. versus Wabasha-Kellogg at the Coffee Mill Golf Course in Wabasha. Both teams also have a meet next Monday, May 1st at 4:30 p.m. Against Caledonia, this will be a home meet at the Harmony Golf Course.

Switching gears to the runners, the LFCMC track team has an important meet on Thursday, April 27th in Chatfield. Both the girls and the boys team invitationals will commence at 4:30 p.m. Similarly, both varsity teams will have a meet at Saint Charles High School at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2nd.

With any chance at all, the minimal April showers will bring us May flowers, higher temperatures, and intense matches!
