“Elemental” Hits the Screens

Elemental+Hits+the+Screens

“Elemental” is the most recent Pixar sensation! This comedy/fantasy animated movie has gotten lots of love since it first started appearing in theaters. It takes place in Element City where the four main elements of land, air, fire, and water all live together. The story is based around a fire girl (Ember) who starts to fall in love with a water guy (Wade) as he introduces new things into her world and helps her find out more about herself. This new big hit movie has now recently been released on Disney+. The movie was based off the concept of whether or not fire and water could ever connect. It showcases that opposites can mix and work great together. No matter how different people may be, and no matter where they come from, they can still get along with each other.

The movie has many different meanings and aspects behind it. It is not just a romantic comedy because this movie shows real life struggles and difficulties. It tells the story of immigration and shows the difficulties and hardships that people face when they move to a new place. It shows their traditions and how they make a new life for themselves. “Elemental” also has messages about following your dreams and doing what you want with your life. It shows being open to new things and not letting others decide your life for you.

Directed by Peter Sohn and produced by Denise Ream, this project was first announced on May 16, 2022. A Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios production, “Elemental” was bound to be very popular, and with its high box office numbers, I think they can call it a success. The movie also has some great voice actors, including Leah Lewis as Ember and Mamoudou Athie as Wade. Notable for its original storyline, “Elemental” was based from Sohn’s own life as the son of an immigrant. You can even see the inspiration of New York City that Sohn used to create Element City.

I personally loved the movie and was really inspired by its messages. I thought it was very well animated, and it had a little of everything including lots of comedy. I also thought the plot of the story was really great and well planned out. It was a good heartwarming movie, and it had such a new and refreshing storyline. If this seems like your kind of movie, then please do give it a chance and watch it!
