Teasers About A New Book By Casey McQuiston

Teasers About A New Book By Casey McQuiston

Casey McQuiston (they/them) is an American author with a New York Times bestselling debut novel. They have written 2 more novels in that time and a 4th book coming out with no set release date as of now. McQuiston writes mostly new adult queer romance with their latest book being young adult. McQuiston currently lives in New York, but they grew up in Louisiana. They like writing queer romantic comedies because it is what they would’ve liked to have as an isolated queer teenager.

“Red White and Royal Blue” was McQuiston’s debut novel that became immensely popular upon release. It is a contemporary adult romance that follows the love story of the First Son, and the Prince of England. Alex Claremont-Diaz, son of the first female president of the United States, gets into quite the pickle when he and Prince Henry fall into the cake at the royal wedding. The press goes crazy, and to save face they must pretend to be friends. In the grueling re-election campaign by Alex’s mom, Alex learns a few things about himself as he falls in love with the Prince.

“I Kissed Shara Wheeler” is Mcquiston’s only young adult book. It is another LGBTQIA+ romance with a little bit of mystery thrown in. Chloe Green wants to be valedictorian. But there’s one problem…Shara Wheeler, the prom queen, and the principal’s perfect progeny. She has disappeared a few weeks before Chloe can beat her fair-and-square for valedictorian. So she teams up with Smith and Rory to follow the cryptic clues Shara has left behind. Chloe is discovering there might be more to this little town than she thought.

Now for the up and coming mystery book. We don’t know a lot about it, like the release date or even the title. We do know its another queer adult romance with some comedy, and it has something to do with Rome. McQuiston has posted on their instagram photos of them traveling in Rome and Italy eluding to it being research for their next book. It seem this fourth book will have some traveling or even be something historical. But then again I’m only speculating. I just hope McQuiston has fun writing it, and we get more information soon.
