I interviewed Morgan Knutson. I loved getting to know her more! One of my favorite things I learned about her was how she got into this profession. She grew up in a family of teachers and has always loved teaching. She had really great teachers in high school and wanted to be able to provide that for other students as well. She didn’t become a teacher right away. She went to undergraduate school to become a veterinary technologist and was a certified veterinary technologist for three years before going back to school to become a teacher.
Knutson’s favorite drink is coffee and her favorite food is a bacon, cream cheese, jalapeno, and blackcap jelly burger. Her favorite thing to do outside of school is spending time with her family, reading books, working out/running, golfing, and working on the farm with her husband. She never leaves the house without working out, her Apple watch, and coffee.
One of her favorite memories from high school is how she went to state softball twice, which was a super awesome experience for her. She also was very involved in sports, weightlifting, FFA, band, and color guard.
Something Knutson would do right now if she could would be owning her own restaurant or coffee shop. She has spent a lot of her time in the service industry which has made her want to own hew own business. Her dream vacation is to go over to Europe and visit many different countries like England, Ireland, Norway, France, Italy, and Greece. She also wants to visit all 50 states with her family.
If Knutson won the lottery, she would set some aside some of the money for her boys’ college funds. Then she would remodel her house and pay off all her debt. Lastly, she and her husband have had the dream of owning more farmland, so she would purchase some of the farms around her current farm.
Something that makes Knutson come to work everyday are the students here. She has made some really good connections with students and enjoys interacting with them everyday. She enjoys shaping young minds and being a good support person for students. She’s looking forward to being the Junior Class Advisor this year. She also has an awesome group of co-workers to work with.
I loved getting to know Mrs. Knutson. She was definitely a very interesting person to interview to learn things I never knew before!
