Tapestry Starting Up Again!!!

It’s the end of September… you know what that means!! Tapestry is starting up again. As of September 14th and 15th, 2023, the high school and junior high Tapestry program is up and running again for its 51st year!

Mrs. Holten and her 50 students are very excited for this tradition. The junior high Tapestry has 12 students currently. The high school Tapestry contains 38 students. The more the merrier, so go on and join in!

Right now the Tapestry groups are practicing Christmas songs for the upcoming Tapestry Dinner. What is the Tapestry Dinner? The Tapestry Dinner is not just any dinner. Mrs. Holten and a crew of helpers transform the stage gym from a basketball court to a dining hall filled with Christmas spirit. In between junior high and high school songs, there is a three course meal. The drink choices are apple cider, hot cocoa, coffee, and water. Going to the Tapestry Dinner is a great way to start off the Christmas season, especially because it’s on December 2nd! Talk to a Tapestry member about going so you don’t miss out.

For both spring and Christmas concerts, the Tapestry members have the opportunity to sing a solo. No more than 12 solos are given out. Mrs. Holten’s favorite part about tapestry is working with people on their solos. Her least favorite is limiting how many solos there are.

Later on in the year there is a spring concert. This concert is all pop songs and up beat. Just for spring! Instead of sitting through a boring concert, you get to listen to fun and up to date songs!
