This season of Dancing With The Stars (Season 32) promises to be another amazing year! This year’s season is hosted by Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro. Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) starts with 12 pairs of dancers, but every week one pair of dancers gets eliminated from the competition. The pairs consist of new celebrities which are paired with the pros, many of which have been on previous seasons. The judges are Derek Hough, Carrie Anne Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli. There also tends to be guest judges here and there across the season. Of course, this year is a bit different than previous years. The famous Len Goodman unfortunately passed away in April of 2023. He had announced his retirement the previous year at the end of Season 31. He is very much missed. So much so that the prize of the competition, The Mirror Ball Trophy, has been renamed the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.

Len Goodman was a dancer, a judge, and a legend. Len Goodman, mostly known for being a Dancing With The Stars judge, passed away on April 24, 2023. He had been a judge on the show since it first started in 2005. It’s different without Goodman on the show, but the cast are still finding great ways to honor him. It was recently the Most Memorable Year theme for one of the new episodes, and it had a beautiful tribute to Goodman. There were clips of many pros telling memories of him, and it showed a little of his career and just his accomplishments and personality. The pros then did a spectacular dance number in remembrance of Goodman. It was of course a ballroom dance, since he was well known for his love towards ballroom dancing. Derek Hough, one of the judges, was even a part of the dance. It was very meaningful for him since Goodman had helped him with his career since the very beginning and had helped shape who he was. Len Goodman had been a part of a lot of people’s lives and had a huge impact on them. After the dance everyone was in tears. Goodman grew famous as a professional dancer and was very well known in the dancing world. Then he joined DWTS as a judge and became known as the ballroom expert and harshest critic on the panel. Goodman had such a fun personality and was never afraid to say what he thought.

Though it won’t be the same without Len Goodman, this season of DWTS still promises to be great. The show is just so magical and has many good qualities. There have been so many different kinds of celebrities on the show. People like actors, musicians, NFL players, bachelorettes, a drag-queen, and just popular social media stars have all had a go at dancing. Some of them are surprisingly very good at it. This season promises to be another great year. People like Jason Mraz, Tyson Beckford, Xochitl Gomez, Charity Lawson, and Adrian Peterson are just a few of the celebrity dancers for this season. I’m personally rooting for Jason Mraz because even just from the first couple of episodes you can tell he is just such a natural dancer, and he just does so well! There is so much to love about it. The music, costumes, and the dances are all amazing and come together to make spectacular episodes. A new episode comes out every week on Tuesday, streaming from Disney+, starting at 7pm. My favorite part about DWTS is that you get to see the dancers’ progression through each week. You can see them take the judges advice and fix things and come out each week better. There are always certain dances that will stand out more and eventually be what the season will be known for. It is absolutely amazing to see dances that get 9’s and 10’s. They are just so beautiful, and the dancers really leave all of themselves out there. So if this sounds like something you are interested in, then tune in to the next episode!
