The Bite is a local business here in Harmony. It is a family friendly and community oriented business. For Small Business Saturday, we decided to visit The Bite and interview the owner, Chelsey Clausen. Here is what she had to say.
The Bite was originally a restaurant in Lanesboro that opened in 2017. They were there for four years before buying their current building in December of 2020. They then opened up in January of 2021. Since then, they have changed it up and even installed a bar.
When asked what their most popular dishes were Clausen said, “Our pizza for sure.” They have pizza of the month and burger of the week, so be sure to stop in and see what’s new.
A unique quality about The Bite is that they do fun trivia nights. They host the trivia night at the restaurant and have different themes each time. When asked about the origins of the trivia night, Clausen mentioned how a friend of hers hosts it, and that he did trivia at the pub in Lanesboro. She said it took a lot of convincing, but she finally got him to do trivia night in Harmony. Clausen stated, “It’s always something I love to do, and I figured people in Harmony would really like to do that too.”
As the holiday season comes around, be sure to stop in and check out The Bite. Although they don’t have any direct holiday specials, they still have plenty of food and a variety of options for everyone. They even have soups and chilis that are popular around the winter season.
