Senior Spotlight

Ashtyn Schibursky
Senior+Spotlight

This week’s Senior Spotlight is shining a light on Ashtyn Schibursky. Ashtyn is one of the funniest people I know. I had a good time interviewing her and finding out more about her.

This year Ashtyn is very excited for her Senior trip with her friends. She’s excited to make many memories but mostly making lasting memories with Faith Schriever, Tori Raaen, and Tiana Pickett-Hanson. After high school Ashtyn plans on going to RCTC to get a 2 year degree in dental hygiene.

Ashtyn’s main goal for her Senior year is to have a good time during the Spring Play/Musical. She has many goals for her future. She wants to graduate college and get licensed as an AP esthetician. Ashtyn also wants to travel the world.

The teacher that has had the biggest impact on Ashtyn has been Ms. Neilsen and Mr. Lange. She stated, “Ms. Nielsen because she always pushes me to do my best work, and then Mr. Lange because he’s just funny, you know? He’s a teacher you want to be around. He’s just that funny, vibey, teacher.”

Ashtyn has a lot of favorite memories from elementary. She really liked when it was snowy enough to go sledding. She likes thinking back to when after she had slid down the snowy hill, she would be scared to stand up thinking she would get run over by other students. She also liked making giant snowmen on the football field. In high school Ashtyn had lots of fun during her mixed media class.

Some advice she wishes she got before her senior year was to not care what people think, and that it doesn’t matter what they say. She wishes she was told to just focus on school and care about that and not what people would say.

Some advice she wants to give to the underclassmen is, “Be nice to your teachers, don’t litter, just be a clean person. Don’t be mean to other people for no reason.”
