Valentine’s Day History

Valentines Day History

Valentine’s Day is a holiday known around the world as the most romantic day of the year. Valentine’s Day wasn’t celebrated as a day of romance until around the 14th century. Many people think about Valentine’s Day as a special occasion to go out and show your lover how much you appreciate them, but it’s really about a Christian feast honoring a martyr named Valentine. Valentine messages first became visible in the 1500s. In the late 1700s they began printing valentine cards. Valentine’s Day is now popular in Britain, Canada, Australia and even South Korea.
